The EnginFrame Grid and Cloud Portal is the gateway to Technical Computing. It is built for all the Engineers, Scientists, Geologists, Analysts, and Researchers using (or wishing to use) Technical Computing and High Performance Computing to solve their complex problems. EnginFrame is also built to help the business and the IT teams implement, manage, and track the use of these Technical Computing resources.

EnginFrame delivers access to Applications, Data, and the HPC compute farm (grid, cluster, or cloud) through a standard web browser. The Technical User goes to a URL on the intranet or internet and signs-in. They can submit tasks, process data, run simulations and analyses, and collaborate with other users. It becomes their portal for work activities.

EnginFrame provides a user-friendly experience, hiding the complexity of grid and HPC. It also offers IT developers a Web 2.0 environment for rapid application integration, security, single sign-on, data management, and creation of a company private Cloud, across the intranet, extranet or internet. Built on the open-standards of Java and XML/XSLT, EnginFrame is the Web Application Server built for Technical Computing; whether it is used out-of-the-box with packaged application integrations, or extended and customized to suit the needs of a large enterprise or institution.

  • EnginFrame Pro (and EnginFrame Enterprise) – delivers a managed HPC and Cloud environment to technical computing users and a customizable open-standards Web Application Portal to IT developers.

  • EnginFrame Elements – delivers an easy-to-use portal for self-managing teams, using WorkGroup HPC clusters.

  • EnginFrame Add-ons – provides additional functionalities to EnginFrame, such as Web Services support or High-Availability.

  • EnginFrame Plug-ins – integrates EnginFrame with third party components such as applications, grid or HPC middlewares, remote visualization systems, security mechanisms and data protocols; these may be purchased from NICE or built to order (by your developers, or by NICE).
